Spectator Sportsmanship

At ETHS, we compete with a spirit of sportsmanship. Whether you're on the field or in the stands, how we show up for one another reflects the values of our school community. We expect all spectators—students, staff, families, and visiting fans—to contribute to a positive and respectful environment at every athletic event.

ETHS athletes, coaches, and fans represent the Wildkit tradition, and that includes demonstrating integrity and respect—no matter the outcome of the game. Show your school spirit in a way that uplifts the team and reflects the ETHS community.

Expectations for All Spectators

  • All spectators must follow district policies and IHSA guidelines while attending ETHS athletics events.
  • Good sportsmanship is expected at all times. Taunting, disrespectful behavior, or inappropriate language toward players, coaches, officials, or other fans will not be tolerated.
  • Respect players, coaches, officials, and fellow fans. Everyone deserves a safe and supportive environment to compete and enjoy the game.

  • Spectators should remain in designated spectator areas. Fans may not enter the court, field, or bench areas during or after the game.

  • Signs, banners, or noisemakers may not block views or distract from play.

Upholding Our Standards
  • ETHS reserves the right to remove any spectator who violates these expectations and may restrict access to future events if necessary.
  • Bags and jackets may be subject to random searches at the door.
  • ETHS students must follow all school behavior expectations and policies outlined in the Student Handbook (Manual Para Estudiantes)when attending athletic events—both at home and away. Students who violate these expectations are subject to school disciplinary action as outlined in the handbook.
