NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics)
  • The NAIA is a separate governing body from the NCAA, made up mostly of smaller, private colleges and universities across the U.S. and Canada.

  • Offers a competitive athletic experience with a focus on student success both in the classroom and on the field.

  • Athletic scholarships are available, and many schools offer generous financial aid packages that combine athletic, academic, and need-based aid.

  • The level of play is similar to NCAA Division II in many sports, but the recruiting process is often more personal and streamlined, giving student-athletes more direct access to coaches.

  • Eligibility requirements are simpler: 2.0 GPA and 18 ACT or 970 SAT

  • Student-athletes must also register with the NAIA Eligibility Center to be cleared for competition.
