The Evanston Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2026 will honor four former student-athletes, two coaches, and the 1970 and 1971 boys track and field teams. The inductees will be recognized at the home football game on Friday, August 28, 2026, with a luncheon at ETHS on Saturday, August 29.

ETHS Girls Track & Field captured the IHSA Class 3A 4x400-meter relay state championship in a thrilling come-from-behind finish. Sophomore Brie Noel ran an incredible anchor leg, overcoming a 15-meter deficit to bring the Wildkits across the finish line first in 3:48.63. Noel, Francesca Decastro, Hunter Vandergriff, and Ingrid Sylvestre secured Evanston’s first girls relay state title since 2022.

ETHS Boys Golf Class of 2028 standout Lester Low captured the IHSA individual state championship, finishing 8-under par with a two-day total of 136. Low’s performance helped lead the Wildkits to a second-place team finish and capped an outstanding season for the ETHS Boys Golf program.

Congratulations to Coach Johnson and the U17 Women’s Junior National Team on capturing gold at the 2026 FIBA U17 Women’s World Cup in Brno, Czechia! Coach Johnson served as an assistant coach during Team USA’s undefeated run, earning her third gold medal with USA Basketball. ETHS is proud to celebrate this incredible accomplishment and her representation of the Wildkits on the international stage.
